Vivo Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar at the Hotel at Arundel Preserve make good meatballs. We found it a convenient place to stop for dinner, with plenty of free parking, on our way back to Annapolis from BWI airport.
The four of us shared…
Meatballs – light, beefy and addictive.
Fried Mozzarella – warm, melty and coated with a crunchy phyllo dough in a puddle of spicy red marinara sauce and green pesto oil.
Vivo Salad – chopped veggies with bacon, gorgonzola and creamy dressing.
Bucatini with Pomodoro Sauce – the pasta was al dente and sauce was flavorful.

Rigatoni with Vodka Sauce – a nice spicy vodka tomato sauce with cheese and cream.
Malfadine with Bolognese Sauce – a sauce made with tomato blended with braised short rib, sausage, and ricotta.
Lemon Cheesecake – light, lemony and served with whipped cream.
Cannoli – two served with Nutella cream in crispy shells.
Gelato – Strawberry and Vanilla were my favorite.
The service was excellent. We had two issues but they were resolved and handled quickly. When the two servers brought over our entrees, the one server realized that my husband’s order was wrong, apologized and took it back. The other server apologized that mine was not quite ready but a few seconds later, mine arrived piping hot and looking good. However; the huge round plate with beautiful, saffron colored gnocchi was just not my taste. Before I could say the words, the GM had come over to let us know that he was aware of the meal mix-up and delay, apologized and asked how everything else was going. My face must have showed my disappointment because he immediately asked me what I thought of the dish. Before I could answer he promptly offered to help me choose something else.
